A man and a woman was killed by a strayed out Pilibhit Tiger

A strayed out Indian Pilibhit Tiger has killed a man and a woman near Puranpur village on 5 September. The woman body is partially eaten by the tiger. The forest department announced an alert and give orders for tranquilising and trapping. But according to the forest department officials the tiger is not the man eater.

According to forest department report the boy has deep injury on his head and the shoulder and the upper portion of his body is also bore bruises and scratches.

AP Sinha, DFO, Shahjahanpur, who is part of the team said, the two dead tiger are found in Puranpur range approx five to six kilometers from Haripur range in the month of May. A dead woman is found in Ruria Salempur village on the 6 September on the same range of this area. This dead body is found above 11 kms from the forest area and it is partially eaten by the tiger and one leg is missing of this lady.

Utkarsh Shukla, the tranquilising experts of the forest department and Saurabh Singhvi of the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) have reached the spot and give order to the forest team member to tranquilise and trap the feline.

For the tiger protection Uttar Pradesh (U.P) seeking Rs 15cr at Dudhwa Tiger Reserve

For the better management of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, Uttar Pradesh government sought Rs 15crore from the Center. Uttar Pradesh forest department sought this amount to upgrade the protection mechanism and management of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. The top priorities of the department is develop a strong security force in the reserve area.

According to the Uttar Pradesh (U.P) government the fund money is used for tiger protection, repair roads, bridge, install hi-tech camera traps and improve communication network within the reserves.

Rupak De, PCCF (wildlife) said,”we are hopeful to get 10-12crors Indian rupee from the Center.”

At present the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve is guarded by 150 private security guards and according to the Officials staff there are at least 90 to 100 security men required in the reserve area at a time. For the Special Tiger Protection Force (STPF), the department will hold the meeting on 8 August 2012, to plan to deploy STPF in Uttar Pradesh protected area.

A roll out Pilibhit Tiger attack a Man

Today in Daiya village, a young Phlibhit Tiger attacked a man which has roll out of the Pilibhit forest.

Accroding to A K Singh, Divisional Forest Officer, Pilibhit, “For the last eight days a two and half year old male has been roaming in Pooranpur town area of Pilibhit district but till now he was killed by the Tiger.”

A K Singh said that this incident is took place when the 35 years old Darbari Lal was working in his field with his younger brother. It is the first attack on the human beings. When the Tiger attacked Darbari, his younger brother raised an alarm.

Pilibhit Tiger killed one pig in near Puranpur town

Tiger has reached up to eight kilometers away from Pilibhit forest to Puranpur town on Monday and killed a domestic Pig, locality of Puranapur town.

"The tiger was spotted near a locality of Puranpur on Monday. It was chased away by the officials from the bushes and hiding in near the town. However, it is still hiding in the crops of sugarcane about four kilometers away from Puranpur", said the Pilibhit Divisional Forest Officer(Social Forestry) : AK Singh.
