All tourism activities in Tiger Reserves is strictly prohibited by Supreme Court


The Supreme Court restricted the all tourism activities in the core areas of the Tiger Reserves and the order is valid up to 22 August 2012. Supreme Court restricted the various core zones such as Nagarahole, Biligiri Ranganathaswamy Temple (BRT),Bandipur, Anshi-Dandeli, and Bhadra wildlife ranges.
Deepak Sarmah, The Chief Wildlife Warden said,”The tourism activity is strictly prohibited in the Bandipur range, Nagarahole, D.B. Kuppe and Antarsante ranges in the Nagarahole National Park, Lakkavalli and Muttodi in the Bhadra range, Punasoli and Kulgi in Anshi-Dandeli range, and K. Gudi in the BRT range.”

Sundharbans tiger recovering, In Alipore Zoo

On Thursday, The treatment of the Sundherbans Tiger, was brought to Alipore zoo is doing well now. According to the officers of zoo the big cat is about 7 to 8 years old.

Dr D N Banerjee, who is attending to the tiger at the zoo said, “On Saturday Morning we did give the full chicken and 3 kg meat at the night. He eat the complete chicken, On Sunday we are planning to raise the quantity of meat.”

According the Neeraj Singhal, Director of Zoo,”Now thw condition of the Sundherbans tiger is better but the back portion is not recover well. During the stool test we did find the presence of worms ans also have plan to collect its blood samples.”

A strayed out Tiger attacked the two villagers at Mai village


Tiger attacked the some villagers near at Khandar range area, it come under the Sawai Madhopur District, outside the Ranthambore National Park.

According to the wildlife officers, “ On Tuesday Morning, For the presence of tiger some villagers are gathered outside the bus and the villagers are armed with some stones and billy stick. Abruptly the tiger attack the two of the villagers and go away inside the forest area.”

Three tiger killed a man in Copenhagen Zoo


Today, Three tiger killed a man in Denmark. A man's body found by the Staff of the Copenhagen Zoo when they came from the zoo to do the work.

 The nationality and the name of the man is not released, said Reuters.

According to the English language Copenhagen Post, ”The man is 21 years old and name is aged and the body of the man was bitten multiple times by the tiger.”
Siberian tigers weighing up to 300 kg and In 152 years of Copenhagen Zoo history it was the first incident in the zoo.

A roll out Pilibhit Tiger attack a Man

Today in Daiya village, a young Phlibhit Tiger attacked a man which has roll out of the Pilibhit forest.

Accroding to A K Singh, Divisional Forest Officer, Pilibhit, “For the last eight days a two and half year old male has been roaming in Pooranpur town area of Pilibhit district but till now he was killed by the Tiger.”

A K Singh said that this incident is took place when the 35 years old Darbari Lal was working in his field with his younger brother. It is the first attack on the human beings. When the Tiger attacked Darbari, his younger brother raised an alarm.

A dead Tiger Found in Chandrapur forest, Maharashtra


On June 30, a decomposed body of an adult Tiger was founded in Karwa forest area under Junona Range. It is around 8 Kilometers far away from the Chandrapur city.
According to the Regional Manager, Forest Development Corporation of Maharashtra (North Chandrapur), Sanjay Thakre, "The big cat probably died five days ago in a fight over the territory with another tiger".
Around the 25 meters away from the body the forest officials find out the some bloodstains and pug-marks during the inspection.
Sanjay Thakre said, "the Tiger was 10 years old male and fully grown. During the inspection of the Tiger the forest officials found the some deep injuries on its head, legs and ribs.

The two newborn Tiger cubs in Columbus Zoo and Aquarium


In Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, the two new born Tiger are struggling to survive. For the precarious health, they are taken from their mother.
According to the Spokeswoman Patty Peters,"The week-old Amur tigers are beginning to stabilize in the zoo animal hospital and the both are males and the species is also known as the Siberian tiger."
Harry Peachey said that we are pretty excited about how well they are doing. Columbus Zoo announced their birth yesterday. The mother name of the tiger cubs is Mara.
Last Friday morning Mara delivered the first cub at 10:41 PM on 28 June and second is about four and half hours later.

Pilibhit Tiger killed one pig in near Puranpur town

Tiger has reached up to eight kilometers away from Pilibhit forest to Puranpur town on Monday and killed a domestic Pig, locality of Puranapur town.
"The tiger was spotted near a locality of Puranpur on Monday. It was chased away by the officials from the bushes and hiding in near the town. However, it is still hiding in the crops of sugarcane about four kilometers away from Puranpur", said the Pilibhit Divisional Forest Officer(Social Forestry) : AK Singh.
